This fast-growing, globally distributed company, focused on revolutionizing cross-border payments, is seeking a Director of HR to build and lead their entire People function from the ground up. This isn’t just about maintenance; it’s about strategically shaping a high-performing team that can tackle ambitious goals.
The ideal candidate is a “builder” with 7+ years of HR leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment. You’ll need to be available during Eastern Time (North America) business hours.
Key responsabilities
- Act like a founder: Partner with executives to develop and implement HR strategies that support the company’s mission and growth.
- Own the entire HR function: Be responsible for everything from organizational design, performance management, and compensation to culture and compliance. This includes building out the necessary teams, tools, and processes.
- Champion culture and engagement: Foster a strong, connected, and inspiring work environment where employees can do their best work.
- Handle tough conversations: Manage employee relations and policy development with integrity and clarity.
Qualifications
- Proven track record. You have 7+ years of HR leadership experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments; startup DNA is non-negotiable
- A builder: Experienced in creating HR programs and infrastructure from scratch, while scaling efficiently.
- People-focused, performance-driven: Balances empathy with accountability to build a resilient and driven culture.
- Detail-oriented and systems-savvy: Meticulous about compliance, compensation, and all HR processes.
- A true owner: Proactive in identifying and solving problems.
